Across the country more ordinances are being passed to limit, ban or restrict the use of chemical fertilzers and pesticides. There seems to be nowhere for this trend to go except up. Nationwide the number of households that use only all natural fertilizers, weed control and insect control increased from an estimated 5 million in 2004 to 12 million households in 2008, as reported by the National Gardening Association.
